What is an Operating System?
Operating
System is a group of programs that controls all the operations of a computer
system and its components. An operating system is an integrated set of specialized
programs that is used to manage the resources and overall operation of a
computer. A computer can do nothing without an operating system. The operating system
must be installed on every computer. Users interact with computers through the Operating system. When the computer is turned on, the operating system runs and
checks that all parts of the computer are functioning properly. The operating system
manages all operations on a computer after loading.
